GA-MA785G-UD3H running onboard Integrated ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics atm, need a video card. Showing: 2 PCI-E 2.0 x16 interface with ATI Hybrid CrossFireX support.
Should I look for a card to match up with the onboard graphics to enable Hybrid CrossFireX? I didn't see any Hybrid but there were so many for CrossFireX.' VisionTek 900181 Radeon HD 2600PRO or look for something newer XFX HD-677X-ZAF4 Radeon HD 6770 ?
Thank you. Great site

That chart is not hybrid crossfire but just normal. Hybrid refers to igpu + discrete in 2000 up to the 5000 series. It was changed to being called dual graphics with apus where the igpu is on the cpu instead of the mobo. Hybrid only works with low end gpus which are still ineffective at gaming. I'd suggest going with at least a 7750 but I'd need to know your other specs to make a solid suggestion.

Appreciate the quick response. Great site. I see where your going but i think its down a different trail. Those appeared to be true crossfire boards, but the gigabyte mb isnt really meant for two graphics cards. Instead it integrates the onboard with PCIEX16_1.
Regardless I thought a newer card might be better than hybrid with the onboard, not sure where to look for compatability list though. As it is old, rather not spend too much but should get the best it can handle within reason.
Thanks again,
Bill

No it's not, the bottom is mobo compatibility with normal cf. The only chipset on that list that can even hybrid is the 890gx.

as i said i goofed on his chip set not being covered but it does work for hybrid crossfire. as you said the 890 is on the list then use the card of the 890 to see which gpus work and what they require...
