I like my monitor and I really don't plan to upgrade.

Specs you need to know

fx-8350
pci 2.0 mobo
Case can fit cards up to 14 inchs lol.

What is the cheapest card that will max out anygame for this system.

yes I play skyrim with loads of mods. Currently using a gtx 460 2win that is 2 gtx 460 chips on one evga custom card. same as gtx 580 in benchmarks

The card must outperfourm this.

I would like a quietier card this one gets up to 90c lmao

Well you said cheapest didn't you ?
than just add a XT and TI at end.
Your card will not dissapoint you.
At stock most are very quiet, they only get noisy when you start poking (overclocking) :)

A 580 is about the same as a 660ti. If you want to go higher than 670 or 7970, but I don't think it is worth it. Maybe you should upgrade the monitor to improve the details.

According to tomshardware:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-660-ti-...

The first graph is Skyrim maxed out at 1680x1050. The 580 (same as SLI 460 ..as you say) outperforms a 660ti. Also, it averages 80fps. Monitors that are 60Hz can not display beyond 60. So, a 580 maxes out already. No need to buy a new card.

speaking from a bang for buck stance and price/performance:

anything more than a 7850/650ti would be a waste at that resolution for purely 30fps gaming. im more of a budget conciense builder. if you get a 7970 or a sli setup youll know that you can run a 1200 or 1440 monitor. but your not. sure youll see insane fps over 30fps but in the back of your mind youve spent 400-500$ on a gpu that CAN run a bigger monitor.
rant over:)

If you want your card to run cool and quiet, I'd recommend going with either Asus GTX 660 Ti or MSI GTX 660 Ti Power Edition. Both are very good quality cards. Asus' models tend to run a bit quieter but MSI cards overclock a bit higher, at least in most cases...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

This should give you an idea of how the different coolers perform: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-660-ti-...

If $300 is a bit too much for you, you could go for the normal Asus 660 version too, which is priced around $250. There is no Power Edition for regular 660 as far as I know.

I agree with arich5.....anything more than a gt 650ti or hd 7850 or even a hd 7770 is an absolute overkill for that resolution.

yeah if your aiming for just 30fps he's is right, overkill but if your aiming for 60fps (which is what i like) then they (gtx670 or 7950) are not over kill.

Best gpu for that resolution is gtx 650ti 1gb or hd 7790 1gb.these both gpu will handle most games on high settings with 40-60fps easily and both are good choice

I dont think half of you understand what I am asking. Im using a gtx 460 2win which performs for the most part at a gtx 580 level, I always prefer 60fps, This card can play most games un ultra @ 60fps but not skyrim with my texture mods and not tomb raider on ultra nore farcry 3 on ultra.

I have a 23 inch lg led 1920x1080 sitting right here i could use i personaly do not like it. I like my monitor, Personally i cannot see a very large diffrence between 900p and 1080p so why change what I like.

I want to know what the best card is to get 60+ fps in all games at ultra settings. If it is the 7950 I will buy that. ill tell you right now I do not plan to overclock the card because honestly I just dont care to over clock. Same with my 8350 why overclock it if you dont need to. As for a 7850 i just sold one I had to my dad a upgrade over his gtx 465 which imo is a great card that everyone hates since it unlocked to a 470 lol first batch of cards. The 7850 performed like a dog compared to my gtx 460 2win. The 7850 was a 975 mhz clock.

I simplely want to know what the best card is for the money. I am a nvidia fan boy I wont lie only because I have had less issues with nvidia drivers over the years then ati. Imo ati gives up on there xxx cards once the new xxx cards come out. Nvidia is still improving the 4xx and 5xx cards

I know this sounds stupid but when I look at the gtx 660's they just look so darn small. Im used to big cards lol-- no pun there. Usally the larger the card the more power seems like things are finally changeing

Heck my gtx 460 2win 11.5 inchs sags, lol

Don't listen to him. An hd 7850 or a gtx 650 ti is all you need to max out games at that resolution. Buy these cards and save money for your next build.

You clearly didnt ready my post's I just sold a 7850 with a crazy overclock to my dad. At my res that card could not get me 60 fps in farcry 3 ultra, tomb raider ultra, nore skyrim with tex mods. So a 7850 isnt going to cut it.

If you think because i use a 1600x900 i cannot afford any card I want you are wrong. I have a 1080p monitor I dont like it........ Ill just buy a freaking 690 and run it on 1600x900 lmao.

i am a FPS nut. I prefer 60+fps...so i actually think going dual GPU isn't a waste at 900p. that said most people are happy with less and many mid level gpus like what u had will make most happy. IMO if you know this and still want a high end card(s) its not a waste at all (for you). now if you have two pcie slots i would go two OC'd gtx 670's in sli. cheaper than a gtx 690 and performs on par or better with then.

w/ my gtx 670s slid i get 36-46 fps in crysis on ultra max filtering MSAA 8x AF 16x. i can also max far cry 3...or pretty much any game for that matter.
