if you have a pcie slot and your power supply is 450 watts (for the 650) and 500W for the 7770....and has the PCIe power connectors needed

not a hundred percent but the numbers i am seeing say it has a psu of 305 watts...not enough...you need a new psu for a new graphics card.

without a new power supply...your pretty stuck. try building your own when you can afford it. you get more bang for your buck and can avoid issues like this down the line when u upgrade.

Since you play World of Warcraft, you don't need to spend much money on a gpu. However, your desktop is 5 years old and comes with an extremely low PSU.

Even the cheapest GPUs ...8400...require 350W.

You could build a computer that would play WoW really fast for $400 (without OS and monitor).

i wasn't, but i spent a long time getting sure for you. at first i only could find replacements which is where i got my first reply for a number...i finally found a user manual for your make and model...so know we know its what you have. on the up side i did see some PSU as high as 600W that are compatable replacement PSUs. thoughall are from Ebay so not certain of quality.

there are no lame questions my friend.....processor is your cpu. it lies on the motherboard acting as the brain. to get power to it u just cant plug it to the wall it needs to be divided in a careful way. thats the power supply. it routes the power that all your components need using the different cords on the power supply unit. psu. the power has to be limited or increased to these parts. the power meaning watts. only a very certain amount of watts are distributed by the power supply to (in this case) a graphics processing unit. gpu. now if you have less than the amount of watts the gpu needs, it wont work. voila! now amps on the other hand......

the PSU only powers your cpu...it will not make it faster. all the PSU upgrade does is allow you to install a better graphics card, nothing else. that is why most people are telling you to buy/build a new system because your cpu is underpowered. if you can afford a new build, do that, if not upgrade the psu and graphics. those are your options.

its the best i saw but you can search google yourself to see if you find better.

as for brand card...no not at all. go for the 7770, yeah your bottlenecking it (anything u put is being bottle-necked though) but you could carry it over when you do a new build.

ignore no...if there is one you like then get it...personally i would not buy a graphics card from dell. I would go to newgg.com for that.

also i see many notes in furoms claiming dual slot cards won't work on that dell model. open your case and make sure you have room for a dual slot card other wise you need to get a single slot card. if you need more help i am happy to give it!

as long as you have a 400w or better you can do either on those with that cpu. i have seen other furom posts with that cpu in your mother board so it should work...but yes update your bios first to be safe.

yeah i caught that but when i was surfing to research his sytem to help out i heard some (not all) forums post by others said they could only take a single slot gpu. so a quick look in his case would be useful.
