Alternatively, consider the HD 7850.
There are much, much more powerful cards on the market, but these will max most console ports at 1920x1080 resolution, and still let you play the latest and greatest at medium or better settings. Of course, it is possible your CPU or RAM will bottleneck your GPU performance, if those are below gaming standards.
