I have

motherboard Model : GA-H55M-S2H
Bios Version : F1
Operating System : Windows 7 64bit
RAM : CROSAIR (Model : CMX4GX3M2A1600C9) 4GB * 2 unit

Now my problem is that i have installed 8GB RAM and i have windows 64 bit but the memory is showing 4 gb. I have checked the bios. There also it is showing 4GB (4048 mb).

What should i do to increase the memory ?

Remove and re-seat the memory.

Be sure you are using the correct DIMMS (refer to the motherboard user manual for this)

Are you sure that both sticks are infact functional? Try booting the PC with only 1 stick installed, if it checks out, try booting with just the second stick installed, this way you can verify both sticks are infact functioning correctly.

In the bios it is showing 2048 MB and in the Windows it is showing 2GB ( 1.81 GB usable )

2) Both RAM is put in the slot together
In the Bios it is showing 4096 mb and in the windows it is 4 GB (3.79 GB usable )

nothing...it works. that kit has 2x 2gb or 4gb total....which is the 4gb in windows see...the less available is because your graphics system reserves it for its usage. your all good!

yes....according to the model number you posted and what you discribed in bios when you install one stick in of each (one at a time capacities).

You are correct. I got the same result.

Your RAM modules are 2GB each. (2x 2048MB = 4096MB of RAM)

Unfortunately it looks like you might have bought the wrong memory kit you were wanting.

You guys are genius .............................

I have confirmed it from the shop .... they told me that the Sticks are actually consist of 2GB DDR3 (Each). So to make 8 GB i need 4 Sticks like that ......

Very many thanks again
