I am planning on building a computer and I want all the parts by next weekend (3/30). I have already ordered some parts and want help choosing the rest. I have an operating system and really old keyboard. I can also use an old Cooler Master Elite 460 power supply, but it might not be the greatest. I'm not planning on getting a graphics card, but will leave the chance open to upgrade if I get into PC games in the future. Likewise with overclocking: I don't plan on it immediately, but probably will in the future, at which point I will have to buy an aftermarket CPU fan.

I already have:
i5 3570k ($200)
ASRock Z77 extreme4 ($135)
Corsair Vengeance lp ($0, came free with the motherboard)
These were great deals on parts I was sure I was getting, so I felt I had to pounce before they expired.

I am planning on getting:

Samsung 840 series 250gb SSD ($170ish)
I'm open to change. I really don't think I'll need more than 250gb, and if I do later I can always buy another hdd, and by then it should be really cheap to upgrade. I was also considering buying a 128gb ssd and 500gb hdd, but I figured this would be faster at a similar price.

Antec three hundred Illusion ($60)
I am pretty set on this case, everything looks great, but its out of stock on Newegg.com. So unless it comes back in stock in the next few (3?) days, I might have to get a different case

Power Supply: I'm not sure if I need a new one if I don't get a discreet graphics card, please give advice on whether or not I need one, and give a specific recommendation if i do need one.

Monitor: Hoping to spend around $130, not sure what type yet. These are ideas of ones I was looking at:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009316
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236117

Disk Drive: Hoping to spend less than $20 Any one will do, I don't plan on using it for blue-ray or anything, but I will need it to install the operating system and such.

Network Adaptor: I don't know how much to spend on this. Probably between $20-$50. Please recommend specific ones and help me find the sweet spot of price to performance.

Mouse/Keyboard: Will probably buy an entry level set for about $20-$30. Any specific recommendations or advice on wired/wireless, brand, etc. would be appreciated.

Thanks for all the help everybody. By the way, I am willing to go over budget if it would make a big difference in performance.

i have that same monitor...excellent. coolemaster psu's arent the greatest. get the seasonic. you dont have a hdd storage drive?

This is a nice 550w psu to run your system if you ever plan to get a discrete gpu. It's a seasonic psu. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207013&Tpk=xfx%20550w&IsVirtualParent=1
If you really like how the antec one looks, then we can't really change your mind. But other cases like Corsair 200r, CoolerMaster HAF 912, NZXT Source 220 are all really good cases at around the $50 mark. They provide nice airflow with good cable management, but if you like the antec's aesthetics then it's fine.
For the mouse/keyboard, I got myself a Logitech MK120 Wired keyboard and mouse set for around $15. It's a nice, basic keyboard and mouse. I'll recommend it as a good, cheap keyboard/mouse.

Would you mind linking to those other cases? I do like the way the illusion looks but it isn't a huge deal to me. Also, I liked the antec because it came with lots of fans and had great reviews.
And no, I wasn't planning on getting a hdd.
Should I assume by all these psu comments that I need a new power supply?

ya, mice and keyboard combos are very specialized nowadays. do you game? productivity? a little of both? cad? do you want a click sound or not? lighted keys in blue or red? its silly what theyre putting out now.skys the limit for prices to. ive seen gaming combos for 300$+ what i do is start at the basement and work up. 12$ keyboard and a mouse from the bargain shop? take my money!

Probably light gaming, productivity, some programming. I guess as long as the keyboard and mouse work it's pretty much ok. Don't want to spend more than like $30 on them. So do you guys prefer wired or wireless?

For a mild gamer I'd suggest a wireless keyboard and mouse. I have wired and I can't stand the cables but I gotta put up with it for gaming. (keyboard-$45, mouse-$35)

If you aren't a serious gamer (which is a good thing...wasted hours..) and do nothing too intensive (photo editing) then I'd suggest a i5-3470 and a $100ish H77, not Z77, mobo.

Also, for mild gaming you might want to think about an IPS monitor instead of TN. TN (like the Asus VE247H) panels don't look as good as IPS. Most cheaper ones are TN, but to find out which it is you gotta google and research. IPS panels simply are better for non fps gaming and all other uses.

Thanks envy, but I already bought those parts so nothing I can do there. I just figured I would be able to use it long into the future if I could overclock the CPU as it aged. And motherboard came as a great deal because I would have had to spend 50 bucks on ram, so I effectively got an $85 deal on the motherboard.
