my dell inspiron stuck

My computer was running fine one night I was just on my CCD web site for school, the next morning I turned it on and it was in safe mode and was not right. So after a lot of bs trying to get it OUT of safe mode I just did a dell reset. Big mistake bc now its stuck. When I boot it up it says system preparing to start for the first time, but a message comes on saying it cant boot unless windows is working it just keeps rebooting (by it self) and repeating the same message. I got a re installation disk and it wont re install anything in safe mode. I am so lost and need help. I am about to do a optimized default?? I dont know please help

That sound like your hdd went bad and needs to be replaced. Call Dell support, if it's still under warranty.

Let us run a small diagnostics to check the hardware. Turn off the system, press and hold down Fn key and press the power button. This will initiate a diagnostics.
Message us the exact error message with the code. We would proceed based on the result.

Run a hard drive test in DOS... HIRENS BOOT CD etc, it sounds like a failing hard drive...

It seems that is a failing hard drive. However, check first with AVG rescue CD if there are viruses. Download, burn it into a cd ( from another pc, since yours is not working) and run it in Dos. http://www.avg.com/us-en/avg-rescue-cd
