Noisy computer issues?

I recently built a new PC, and I wanted to install a water cooler, however I had some issues and took it to a computer repair store to install the water cooler. They installed it and moved the two main computer fans to the top corner end, near the CPU. I noticed that when I ran the computer before installing the water cooler the PC was reasonably quiet with all the fans running in the default places (I have a Z11 Plus Zalman), however after the store installed the water cooler I have noticed that it now makes a considerably large amount of noise. I haven't used a water cooler before but I am pretty sure they shouldn't make any sound, and the loud noise does sound fan based.

What can I do to reduce the noise level?

Solution
limit the fan's RPMs though you will lose some airflow. you may want to check that nothing is in the way of the fan like a wire or even dust/hair that may have wrapped around it which could make it whine. see if you can tell exactly which fan is making the noise...it may have gotten damaged when they worked on it as well and may need replacing.

I unplugged the fans and it is definitely the fans making a noise. It doesn't just sound like a fan.. It does sound like something is in the way, but the fans themselves work perfectly. I am thinking could I get away for three weeks with just relying on my water cooler and the small fan I have on the side casing a small fan at the bottom of the front panel and maybe keep 1 side casing panel off? I only need to reduce the noise level for 3 weeks.

yeah that should work...try running intel burn in while running a hardware monitor to check your temps...i like to stay below 67C personally though i did as a test system overclock an i7 920 to temps of 80c (do not do this at home kids unless you want to melt you cpu) and its been running good for 3 years...point being if you can keep it in the 60s C you should be ok. i wonder if you have a bad bearing or something in said fan.

hope this all helped and i get you pick as solution. need any more help just ask!

Thank's a lot, sorry to ask further questions but I just manually spun the fans round with my fingers at a decent speed and it doesn't sound like there is anything in the way of the actual fans themselves. They are corsair fans, so maybe the motor is very loud for the fans? I honestly don't know but I would presume so because I don't know why it would make such a loud fan.

For now, I will use the ASUS software I got with my motherboard that has a temperature monitor on it that seems quite accurate. With everything on my PC is usually 22-27C, so without the 2 big fans next to the motherboard, I still have the water cooler and the 3 small fans at the bottom on the side casings and at the grill on the front panel so hopefully I should be fine. I was told be a friend that the lack of air flow might fry my components though? I am a little worried about that.

your water cooler is pulling a lot of heat away from those components. while not cooling them directly most pc cpu's use heat sinks that add hot air to the surrounding area (where said cap, vrm, etc) are located. i am assuming your water coolers radiator blows straight out of the case....or is out of the case all together (my personal choice for rads). now you do still should to cool those components but for a few weeks you should be ok...just don't make it long term.

Thanks a lot, your help is much appreciated. Just one last thing, I just quickly recorded the noise my computer makes with both of the main fans plugged in, is this normal? I have never heard such a loud PC before :S.

Ok thanks a lot for your help... Urgh now my PC won't start up after constantly shutting it down when I have been connecting and disconnecting the fans.. i just have a black screen and the mouse curser as windows is loading. I guess I am going to have to find my windows 7 installation disk to boot it back up -_-
