Hello my name is Phill and I just joined this site. I decided I want to change my computer and in doing so I decided that building one from scratch is the best idea. Here is the configuration I have come up with. I want to be able to play new games like Hitman Absolution or Assasins Creed on medium-low settings but I am in no way a gamer. What I will primarily use this PC for is some web browsing(including HD video streaming) and some other less demanding applications. Here is the configuration:
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Green, 500GB, SATA III 600, 64MB Buffer
Graphic: GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6670, 1GB, DDR3, 128 bit, DVI, HDMI, VGA, PCI-E 2.1
Processor: AMD FX X8 Octa Core 8350, AM3+, 8MB L3 (BOX)
Motherboard: ASRock 970DE3/U3S3, AMD 770 + SB710, AM3+, DDR III, PCI-E 16x, SATA III, USB 3.0
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Tactical, 2x4GB, 1600MHz
I do not know much about computers and this is what I have come up with based on some personal researching and and advices. I would really like to know your opinion on this. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
