Instead of listening to the spammers promoting specific software that are always attracted to these posts, here is a better way to handle this problem:
1. Use one of the big TRUSTED software download sites. Three come to mind. Download.com, twocows, and Softpedia.
2. Go to a site and search for the software you might need.
3. From the results, find software that has LOTS of downloads. Also look for reviews from the editors of the site.
4. BE VERY CAREFUL about the download process. Even these trusted websites will try to get you to install other junk along with the item you want. Do not agree to install any toolbars or anti-virus scans or anything other than what you need.

See? The first two likely results have MILLIONS of downloads. Pandora and Easus.
