Hi ,just wondering if motherboard for i5 3570K is much more expensive then motherboard for i5 3570 NON K.How much is the price difference?
Just gathering infos,i have somewhat limited budget, not sure if building a overclocking pc would mean much higher budget?
So far i know i would have to spend more on a aftermarket cooler like hyper 212,apart from motherboard question is there something else?
better case,psu(i would be getting a 650w,for a 7970)

Thank you

yes it will work for a k...
The motherboards should cost the same the K series(more expensive boards may have extra features and better power systems to push a cpu farther with overclocking.) just has an unlocked multiplier. The unlocked multiplier is for overclocking. If you want overclocking, get the K if not. get the non K(it still has some headroom, just not nearly as much as the K)

Boards that take a non K series take the K as well.

There aren't any motherboard specific to the 3570K or the 3570 non-K. A motherboard that can take one can take the other. However, a Z77 motherboard is required to get the most out of overclocking the 3570K. If you're not planning to overclock, the standard advice is to get an H77 motherboard and an i5-3470, which are cheaper without sacrificing much performance.

it's a motherboard issue not a CPU one...both use the same socket and same boards. if your not overclocking then your motherboard doesn't need to be as high end. something entry level is fine. if your overclocking the power phase and vrm quality is even more important and you find the good ones on high end boards.

Yes i want to go with overclocking. So basically if want to make an overclocking pc,i would just have to get an aftermarket cooler,3570 K of course.
So about fatherboard For NON K something like AsRock ZH77 Pro3 Socket LGA1155 H77,Asus P8H77-M LE Soket LGA1155 or a
H77 Pro4/MVP Socket LGA1155.. and for K something with Z socket?

Hmm,it would be really great if you could tell me from this site what motherboard would be good, cheap but reliable for
a i5 3570 K and NON K.I was thinking something about 2500-3500baht(like above listed)
(Sorry about currency there is no option for change it,but 3000baht is 100 dollars :))

That is for K version, yes? Its a good card, maybe go with that..

Or maybe something like http://i.nvade.it/2ZF for K version?
and http://i.nvade.it/2ZI for NON K?

So basically price difference is only 20-30$ for motherboard that is for overclock and the one that is not(for NON K)..
Together with aftermarket cpu cooler and motherbaord its gonna be only about 50$ higher price if want to make a overclock PC?
