What's your budget? I think I would go Intel over AMD for anything over $1K.

This might be a better investment for $900:

Although every single person on this forum will tell you to go Intel, I think that AMD is the correct choice in this situation. The 8350 really does well in multi-tasking, and scores a few frames lower than the 3770k for less than a 3570k.

The most important part of your gaming system is your GPU or video card. You want to get the most that your budget will allow, in your case you should be looking to get a HD 7950 or GTX 660 Ti then adjusting your budget to fit in the other parts. CPU is always contested in the forums because you have your Intel and AMD camps. Remember the most important item is your video card any 4 core GPU will work with a good to great GPU, in gaming the GPU is doing all of the work.

Just add your monitor.

While I completely agree with his advice, I would not skimp on the power supply to get a better graphics card. While a GPU is important, nothing is more important than the PSU, so I would stick with the one you originally had or the one that g-unit suggested.

No it isn't. There's a lot of AMD fans taking over this board and I can't really quite contemplate it. The benchmarks don't lie. The 8350 is a decent choice but the 3570K is a far better choice in the long run for gaming. No matter what game comes along it's always best to invest in the best GPU you can get.
