I just bought a new gaming computer it has a 128 ssd and a 2tb sata harddrive. The ssd has windows 8 installed on it I don't want that I want the windows 7 on my old harddrive. What I want to do I install my old harddrive into the new comp and use the 2tb one as extra space. I've tried getting it to work but it keeps trying to install 8 over my windows 7 can anybody help me?

You cannot just plug in your old hard drive and use Windows 7 off it. When Windows is installed, drivers for parts of the motherboard are installed, and if the new computer is sufficiently different from the old computer, Windows won't even boot without an error message.

You will need to reinstall Windows 7 from a legal disc in order to get your new computer the way you want it.

You cannot plug in your old hard drive into your new computer because the drivers of the motherboard and of the video card are for different motherboards. If you do it, you may see the screen blurred and fuzzy.
