my current config >
Proccy - Intel Core 2 quad Q6600
mobo - P5N E SLI
RAM - 6GB DDR2
hdd- 1Tb + 500GB
Monitor res. - 1600 X 900

My Budget is something like a Gtx 650 ,hd7750 & 7770 (i am open to other suggestions too)

My main concern is that the new card should work with the old PCI-e slot
I hope the CPU wont bottleneck the GPU

Thanks in advance

Solution
The new card will work in a pcix16 slot even if its older. You cpu would not bottleneck any of those cards. The core2quads can kind of be related to the Phenom II. I would say you would probably be ok going up to a 7850 at best with that cpu. The other question would be what are you using for a power supply? a 7770 doesn't pull much power. But if you have some generic 250 watts psu or something it would be a problem.

HD 7750 if you don't want cpu bottoleneck at all.
HD7770 or 650 TI if your on 1080p monitor and don't mind occasional cpu bottoleneck
these cards work with the old PCI-e slot
HD7770 or 650 TI Good 400watt PSU recommended

Well most 7750's don't need a power supply connection, while the 7770's do, that means they need more power and your PSU has to have a 6 pin PCIe power available.

This will give you a rough idea of the differences in the same games, same system, just different cards. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/535?vs=536

ultimately the justified difference in only going to be answered by the person who is buying it. the 7770 does seem to be the go to card for low budgets.

haha so i think i should get the 7770 in oder to use my PSU's 12v rail.. 7750 wont even need it and the PSU will go waste :p... plus i will get a good 10%- to 15% perfomance increase
i read that 7750 can run even on low end PSU's hehe

Thanks a ton for your quick replies m8 and thanks for sharing your knowledge! :D
