does my I7 920 need a "K" in the product code to be overclocked?

I was asking around to see if I could overclock my I7 920 (I have upgraded my fan and RAM to suit) but the I7 is older from back in '09. Someone told me that it could not be overclocked because it did not have a K at the end of the product number or version number or something like that. Are some I7 not able to be over clocked?

i have a i7 920 overclocked to 4ghz...it can be down if your motherboard supports it. you have to use the BCLK to do it...mine set at 200 up from 133....your CPU needs 1.35 volts or less for that level of an overclock on the cpu. not to mention some etra for the BCLK and others.
