It seems kinda pointless to buy a liquid cooling system for a graphics card instead of buying a better graphics card when you can do so easily.

That's also not a decent chip for overclocking - a 7950 will do much, MUCH better.

Agreed, you want a better card before you consider water-cooling it. Dont even think there are 7850/7870 blocks out, or if there are in any decent supply.

Use the cash you would sink to water-cooling to get yourself a 7970, then consider water-cooling after that.

Yeah, it makes no sense to buy a cheap card and overclock it for the same price, but less performance, that a better card would give.

If new to OC, use this as a chance to experiment - blow up the card! then buy a 7950/70 (value-wise I believe a 7950 OC will give you better bang, but 7970 requires less tweaking for same level of performance, this coming from an NVidia fan) and do it right, then add LCS.

Side note: OC the GPU without propping up the CPU will create bottlenecking on certain levels. Baseline - If OC'ing one, OC the other - not necessary but definitely helpful
