Hi, i am building my first gaming pc and would really value your opinion on my build.

I mainly want it for gaming/streaming.

I have been doing alot of research and this is what i have come up with so far:

mobo: Asus P8Z77-V LX S1155 Intel Z77 DDR3 ATX

cpu: Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz LGA1155 6MB

gpu: Gigabyte ATI Radeon 7870 HD 1100MHz 2GB PCI-Express 3.0 HDMI OC

memory: Corsair 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1866Mhz CL9 Vengeance Low Profile

case: Zalman Z11 Plus High Performance Mid Tower Case

psu: Corsair 700W Gaming Series GS700 2013 Edition 80+ Bronze, ATX, PS/2 PSU

Thanks in advance.

I would get cheaper ram, cheaper psu, a different motherboard, and the 7870 taihiti if you can find one for sale.

The overclocked ram will do nothing for you in a real world setting. The psu is overkill for a single card setup.

The motherboard also has mediocre reviews, but if you want to take a chance go for it.

Well here is what I'd consider (newer CPU & 1600 mHz RAM):

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($209.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V LX ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($114.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($64.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($74.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 840 Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($171.51 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB Video Card ($204.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Zalman Z11 Plus ATX Mid Tower Case ($59.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: XFX 550W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($54.99 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: LG GH24NS95 DVD/CD Writer ($17.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $967.43

* CPU is the newer one and probably one of the best for gaming for the $.
* Mobo - same one you selected
* RAM - 1600 mHz RAM should be plenty for 98% of peoples needs. It also runs at CAS 9 timings and operates at 1.5v (stock voltage).
* You didn't include Storage, so this is what I'd recommend.
* GPU about the same one, just pretty well priced!
* Case is the same one you wanted.
* PSU is plenty for any single GPU solution and is pretty well priced.

Sorry for the late reply ( i had internet t issues )

Thanks for the feedback, i have taken all of your suggestions on board.

Here is my revised build :

CPU : Intel 3rd Generation Core i5-3570K CPU (4 x 3.40GHz, Ivy Bridge, Socket 1155, 6Mb L3 Cache, Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0)

GPU : Sapphire 11200-07-20G Graphics Card (2GB, HD7850, GDDR5)

Motherboard : Asus P8Z77-V LX Motherboard (Socket 1155, 32GB DDR3 Support, ATX, Intel Z77 Express, USB 3.0, CrossFireX Support, Dual Intelligent Processors 3)

Case : Zalman Z11 Plus High Performance Mid Tower Case

Storage : Seagate 1TB Barracuda SATA 6Gb/s 64MB 7200RPM Hard Drive

Memory : Corsair 8GB Vengeance LP Performance Memory Module 1600mhz

PSU : Corsair 600 Watt Builder Series CX 600 Modular Power Supply

CPU Cooler : CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo - 4 Heatpipe, Tower CPU Cooler

Optical Drive : Samsung 24x SH-224BB DVD-RW SATA

I was going to get an SSD but they are quite expensive. I had planned on upgrading to one in the near future.
Is this an easy upgrade or would i be better off stretching the budget to install before the build ?

Thanks for recommending aria.co.uk, i can get a great deal on a GPU.

It's a VTX3D 7870 Black Boost Edition with 5 free games for 235 euro.

I am flexible on the motherboard and will take both suggestions into consideration.
