Most Corsair and Antec units are made by Seasonic.

What's in your system that requires you to buy a 850W PSU?

Dude...Seasonic makes exactly 3 units for Corsair.......not exactly most. CWT makes "most" of Corsair's lineup. Hell Flextronics makes the same number of Corsair units Seasonic does.

Bad muffin! Bad! :vip:

Also Delta makes more units for Antec than Seasonic does.

OP the Silverstone is a very good unit. They are a brand I recommend by name meaning they don't really sell any bad units.

im finding corsair psu's are downgrading theyre quality lately. the cx and builder series are not the best. cheap chinese capacitors. im not recomending corsair anymore and gong with antec and seasonic.

I had a previous 500w silverstone.. I7 3770k, 16GB ripjaws, mobo Z77-D3H, GTX460 oc.. OCing cpu and gpu.. So far my rig keeps restarting.. Thats why im buying an 800w or more..

My first option was a corsair gs800 but ran out.. Im left with two available choices here which are silverstone strider 850(st85f-g) and antec HCP 1k watts.. But antec is too expensive.. And cant find any corsair AX and HX models..

Then get the Silverstone Strider, its your only realistic option and even then its still a good one.

Silverstone Strider 850W - http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=319&area=...

Corsair HX 850W - http://www.corsair.com/en/power-supply-units/hx-series-...

Hi - both are good units, go whichever has the better warranty if price is close.
Also, no need to go higher wattage unless you are going to use 3 power hungry GPU's.
A quality 850w psu is more than sufficient for a sys using 2 GPU's and serious overkill
if you have 1 GPU.

Ah, I see availability leaves you with the Silverstone, don't fret, it is a good unit,
gold efficiency and 70amps on the +12v rail which is excellent.

They might be downgrading quality, but most likely not. The CX series is
budget/opening price point and as such will use cheaper internal parts than
the step up (TX,HX,AX) series. But, this situation existis with almost all PSU
sellers, that the budget lines are exactly that, and the compromises that come
with the low price series.

Corsair's "pencil" is big enough to get whatever quality and specs they contract for.
So, it is doubtful that the quality of their TX, HX, or AX series has deteriorated.
Personally I would feel better with Seasonic vs CWT as the oem, but I'm not sure
there is a material difference. The AX series is still mfg by Seasonic.

^ This is correct. You have plenty of power for your listed system. Look into other reasons you might be having restarts. Are your overclocks completely stable? Does your CPU pass IBT and 10-12 hours of Prime 95? Does your GPU pass Furmark testing? Is you RAM running correctly? Have you run 10-12 hours of memtest to be sure? What are your CPU and GPU temps?

Power supply is one of the last things to consider. All the other things I listed above are much more likely to be your problem.

Well I never did try those said software tests.. just some basic trouble shooting on software and hardware.. this was my first thread regarding my problem http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/396956-33-automatic-r... and that by trial and error I just replaced my silverstone 500W with my friends AX850 and the problem went away.. so we made sure I swapped my hardware to his mobo and it ran well without any problems of some sort.. that's why I opened this new thread to see which I can go with :)

this is my vid I uploaded on you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJYLcER37xA and that's my pc.. somehow changing the PSU got it to be better..
