but the temperatures ......its getting too hot ...........its burning :fou:

in my GPU TWEAK its getting 70-75c temp based on the game with fan at full speed :heink:

some times it even reaches 80c :hot:

guys please help me , m scared with these temperatures

A GTX Titan will actually try to run at 80 degrees C. As GPU boost 2.0 is temp sensitive/controlled. The card will overclock till 80 degrees C, unless it reaches 106% of TDP first, which would be a 265 watt electrical draw.

The temperature limit of the card is 94 C. And I would think that if it ever got hotter than that, it would underclock itself to avoid irreparable damage. Like CPU's do... when pushed too far.

Scroll down to temperature targets:

I'd work it and not worry about longevity anyway. As it's likely your retire/sell it well before 2015. High end Maxwell and Volcanic Islands GPU's should be out by this time next year. And it will soon be time to put old 28nm technology out to pasture :)

80 degrees is normal operating temperature for most GPUs, there's nothing at all to worry about.

oh thank you maan , so i need not restrict my play time right

Not at all. 80 degrees centigrade may seem hot to us, but that's a summer breeze for integrated circuits. Those chips are designed to take a beating. If you want an accurate idea of how long a graphics card will last, you'll have to look at the specifications for the VRM as that's what's likely to pop first, long before the processor itself. Even crummy VRMs are rated to run for 5000 cumulative hours at over 120 degrees (on the VRM, not the chip), a temperature only obtained by extreme overclocking. You will more than likely want to replace the card long before it stops functioning.

With that in mind, the Asus Titan is backed by a 3 year manufacturer warranty.

so what exactly should i do bro ??

80c isn't bad but just make sure the rest of the card isn't near thermal limits. Now days the most common point of failure for most cards is the power vrm phases and the coil inductors. If the vrm is at a similar temp as the gpu then there is nothing to worry about unless you want every watt worth of power for overclocking.

You should go play some demanding games! Everything is just fine.

heh, no worries!

and do i need to worry abt temperatures of motherboard ??

will this card damage my motherbaord at 80c ??

i use AsRock z77 extreme 6 with updated bios

Nope, same deal. Nothing to worry about.

the 80 degrees centigrade is measured either on the silicon itself, or at the point where the chip is soldered to the PCB. The heatsink and exhaust air will be significantly cooler
