Hi,

I have an Intel E7500 core 2 duo processor with an Intel DG41RQ motherboard. I am using the stock intel cpu cooler. Could you please recommend a cpu cooler for overclocking the processor? And what is the level of overclock that I can expect. I havent overclocked anything before.

Thanks,

+1 to what novuake said....also you may consider a closed loop water cooler. they are on par with high end air cooler without putting weight on your motherboard which can lead to stess cracks. like a corsair h100....

core 2's are good for up 4.2ghz though most over clocks top out at 4.

No one knows whether current coolers will work on haswell. I do know that Noctua has a bracket that can adapt current coolers like the Noctua NH-D14. The D14 is one of the best coolers available and not to expensive. So maybe one of them?

There it is.

Thanks for the reply. So one can know about the compatibility only after haswell launches?

That is correct. :) Unless they make a statement otherwise. But we would know about it.
