Hey,

I've bought a samsung series 5 laptop (NP530U4E) 1 week ago and installed Windows 7 (64 bits) instead of 8. Everything works more or less but I can't find any driver to make my Video card detected (AMD Radeon HD 8750M). The only video card detected is the Intel one... No need to say that Windows Update doesn't help me much.

I supposed "M" meant Mobility so I installed this one : http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonmob_win7-64.aspx . It says I don't use the right driver.

The Autodetect driver (http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/auto_detect.aspx) detects something but finds no driver to download

The Catalyst Software Suite and the latest beta drivers for HD 7000, HD 6000 and HD 5000 Series (http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonaiw_vista64.aspx) don't work either with no surprise.

Finally, Samsung Update Plus doesn't find anything to update.

All I need is a driver for HD 8000M Series video cards but it seems not to exist so far, that's why I'm asking your help

Thanks for your future help !

Good news ! I find a driver for Windows 7 (32&64 bits)

Here's the way to do it for those who like me don't want to have to use an OS they didn't choose :

- Download SW Update from Samsung website (http://orcaservice.samsungmobile.com/SWUpdate.aspx)
- Find your computer model (NP530U4E-S02FR in my case)
- The software asks you the OS : there was only one for my model, Windows 8 of course
- Find the driver you're looking for (AMD video card driver)
- Luckily, the driver used for Windows 8 works also for 7 !
- Install it and enjoy !

Hi.
Please, TheVilain, could you tell me if you leave the intel driver installed before installing the amd driver provided by SW update ?
Because i've tried this driver, with or whitout intel driver, and it doesn't work for me ...
Could you give me more details about your installation ?

Yes, Windows is up to date.
I've made all the updates, then i installed the ATI driver through the samsung software.
My system see the ATI graphic card adapter (in the device manager), but when i right-click on the catalyst systray icon, the only card shown is the intel HD Graphics.
A dxdiag test only see the Intel card, as a hwinfo32 ....

I don't have the catalyst systray software but I just checked dxdiag and it's the same for me, the video card does not appear.

Anyway, I can tell you it works : I launched COD Black Ops when I didn't have this driver then when I installed it, the result is clearly better.

As long as the device manager shows the device is detected, it's ok, I think the ATI softwares are not able to recognize these recent video cards yet. The autodetect driver for mobility series only says there's something plugged on PCI for example, but does not name the video card.

I also checked an onlice autodetect driver tool (touslesdrivers.com) and the video card is detected. What makes you say you video card doesn't work precisely ?

Only the fact that catalyst systray software doesn't see it made me say that, and also the fact that is impossible to access to any graphical setup in catalyst.
I haven't tested any video game yet, but reading you, i guess it's allready working :D
I'll be able to test video games next weekend i think.

En tout cas, merci beaucoup pour ton intérêt ;)
