I bought a Swiftech mcp 655-B pump which has 1/2" fittings. I'm OK using 1/2 " I.D. tubing but wondered about using 3/8" I.D. instead.
My reasoning is the smaller tubing is more flexible. ( I can heat the ends and flare the tubing)

I also bought a XSPC Raystorm waterblock which can take either size fitting.
I plan to use lox-seal compression fittings.
Rad will be 2 or 3 x 120.
Your thoughts please.

ihave done both over the years and let me tell you...i won't ever do 3/8" inch again. yes it is more flexible but but the flow rate is restricted cause of diameter. when i switched fro 3/8 to 1/2 inch my system dropped 15-20C (no joke) not saying all systems will get this benefit but i certainly am unable to ignore it. one thing i do dislike about half inch tubing is the leg of my water cooling loop that goes to the pump from my cpu needs to be zip tied gently around the tube every inch or so (or use anti kink which didn't work as well as zip ties) so the pump doesn't collapse it....the heat softens that leg of my loop a lot. the rest is fine and causes no issues.

note keep in mind i am running 2 pumps in serial so suction is a...

Thanks atomic. I suspected the flow rate but thought I should ask. Have you ever used reinforced tubing ?
Also, where do you buy your tubing ?
