400w PSU might be pushing the limits a bit, but a quality one shouldn't have too much of a problem (assuming you have a PCI-e power connector). I would probably get a new PSU for that setup, but PSU do you currently have? How old is it?

I just realised I have a 450w PSU and as you said a 500w is the best option? Would 50w make a difference or is it best to just get a 500w incase?

What is the make and model of that PSU?
Not sure, but overall, would there be any potential problems with 50w difference? In a general sense. It doesnt need to be accurate I just need it to be at least an answer.
