Hi, I'm an IT student and I have to do a desk research about anything that's related to IT. My interest goes towards GPU's but I can not decide what I am going to do research on. I've thought about GPU cloud rendering but can't find lots of information.

I also thought of a main question like 'Will iGPU be something that could put away dedicated GPU's?' but as I can't look into the future and as it is now it won't happen. I've already written about what a GPU is but I just need a main question..

Does anyone have ideas on a research about GPU's/graphics related stuff?

Your idea about igpus replacing gpus may not be too bad as you could probably look at a few aspects of this. To combat the problem of not being able to look into the future you could look at the progression of an iGPU against a GPU and predict how much the graphics increase will be over the next few generations of hardware. There are benchmarks for the iGPUs from sandy and ivy bridge up and I'm sure you can find ones for previous generations, also recently toms hardware put out an articles about the new i7 4770k that is coming out soon bench marking its iGPU. So there may be depth to that question after all.

What could be possible subquestions? Any idea?
