Converts to about $740 which isn't too bad.

The processor is an older architecture but was one of the flagship models and still goes for about $160. It should handle most games quite easily.

You can't really go too wrong with RAM and 8GB is plenty

Motherboard is ok. If you don't plan to overclock you don't need anything more tbh.

Graphics card is decent. Will handle most games on high settings (not ultra) unless your monitor is over 1600x1080 resolution.

Power supply isn't one of the best but will do the job.

I would say you can play the latest games at high for about 1ish years before needing an upgrade

If you do upgrade, I recommend you change to Intel CPUs since they are very good for gaming. You could get an I5 3570k with an MSI motherboad GD 55. Same GPU and RAM. If you overclok the I5 (and you definitely should) you might need to change PSU as well. I recommend you check The Tek Syndicate youtube channel. They recommend very good budget PC builds. Here's a link: http://www.youtube.com/user/razethew0rld/videos

They built lots of gaming PCs according to different budgets, from 500 bucks to 5000.
