Hi, I'm building a new rig with the NZXT Phantom White and I want to know if this build would work together nicely. This would be mainly used for gaming, designing on Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, etc. Probably won't be using much movie editing, but maybe some music making. I'll post the links under each item as well.

Case: NZXT Phantom White

CPU: i7-3770k

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX670 (I'm thinking about maybe getting 2, if I have enough money for it. I don't know if this is the best GPU either. I'm hearing the GTX690 is good, but I don't have the cash for it. Which one is the best for its price and for my build?)

MB: undetermined, but i have been looking at the Asus P8Z77 V LK

I want to put in a good soundcard for this too, because i really like listening to my music in high quality. I don't know which soundcard to get though, if I need one.

So this is my basic setup. I'm new at building and I'm just looking for a fast, smooth gaming PC with an i7-3770k Processor, good graphics, but not too expensive.

I'm most likely getting dual HD Monitors for this, if it makes a difference to the components. Also, I want to get a super quiet cooler for my PC. I don't want too much noise coming from it. Is the Hyper 212 good for it?

Any of the components listed above can be changed, if you guys have better suggestions. Am I missing anything? What MB do you prefer? Thanks for helping!

I would go for the i5 3570K instead of the i7-3770k which would save about $100 you could then use for better GPU or what ever. As for GPU unless you are stuck on Nvidia I would get a Sapphire HD 7950 or HD 7970. I have a SLI GTX 670 in my i5 rig and I must say AMD has the edge on GPU's both in there hardware design and drivers. Nvidia's drivers just a mess compared to AMD. For gaming there is really no need for a i7 and from what I have read the i5 3570K is about the best gaming CPU you can get right now.

As for the CPU cooler I am not sure how well it works as all of my gaming PC's are water cooled so I have not used a after market CPU cooler for a while.

Thank you for the response. :) Isnt the i7 a faster processor though? I thought it would run smoother or more apps and whatnot. And for the GPU, I've researched this a lot and have seen more writers say that nvidia has the edge on graphics as of now. At first I was looking into the 7970, but have been told that getting two GTX 670s would be the better choice. If I got the 7970 by itself, would it still perform optimally and be compatible with my build? And by the way what motherboard do you have for your rig?
