How do I "wake up" my asus i5?

I can't get my asus to wake up. Tried power button several times, as well as taking battery out...still nothing!

Hi

REMOVE CHARGER, REMOVE BATTERY, hold down POWER button for 1 MINUTE...

Reassemble all and try again...
