Heavy Graphics card support solution?

Good morning!

Recently i replaced old dual 9800gt's with a new (Powercolor) 7870 Tahiti Le.
Weird card clock behaviour and better but disappointing acoustics aside, I now know what kind of flex people meant with these large heavy long cards. Also, a single 70c degree heat source under load is far far superior to two 80c sources.

My first instinct was just to tie a string (probably high gauge fishing nylon) to the screw hole in the free corner of the card and just have it suspend in tension from somewhere at the top of my case.

Quick Google search didn't really get any hits of people doing this, but rather a bunch of people using columns or jacks from the bottom of the case. That would also work, I guess.

Am I missing something about using a string? My only concern would that it would be conductive should something happen, but if something did happen it would be tied to the case anyway thus grounded? Between the PCIe slot, the dual io-bracet and the 3rd point, that just be mighty stable enough for a heavy 600T case (barring me using it as weight in a morning plyometrics routine)

Any thoughts or suggestion?
