Not knowing what you have chosen, you have to consider what OS you are considering and whether the motherboard is compliant with your motherboard specs. Also, consider a minimum of 650 watts PSU.

If your PSU costs you less than $100 then t's surely nbot going to be a top model brand and besides, a 500 Watt PSU is not going to give you any reserve power, a psu marked as 500 watt usually refers to its peak power and not the total allowable output which might be as low as 420 watts which mght mean a shortfall for the video card of continuous power. Get at least 650 watt good Quality PSU like a Seasonic.

As most gamers say, an i5 is what you need but movie makers etc swear blue in the face for an i7.

The optical drive for $19.99, that's either a bargain for a new product or it's second-hand (used), a good CD-RW/DVD-RW drive costs at least $50, brand new.

I'm in Australia where the retails costs of products is almost double of that in any other country so it could be true that you can buy a brand new optical drive for only $19.99 but that drive will not support blu-ray and probably not even dvd-ram disks (if you have ever used them for data storage).

If you use the SSD for your OS, you will have to be careful what programs you install, you wiull have to use the other hdd for tewmp files and saved files, the SSD must mainatain at least 20% free space to be of any benefit for performance.

If you install a game downloader like Steam, make sure it is not on the SSD as it will quickly fill up (most games take about 8gb per game of disk space).
