I have a "Home Network" set up between a PC and a Laptop with no password set. Both running Vista (Service Pack 2). Until recently the network worked fine, however now both the PC & Laptop are asking for User Name & Password. Both computers have “Password Protected Sharing” turned off. I have tried setting an account up on both computers with the same Account & Password, but still can’t log in. The Guest Accounts are turned off on both computers.
I have tried renaming both computers and changing the network name, but still asks for password. Can the Registries be edited to completely remove the set up and start again. Just one point, I recently changed the HDD on the Laptop and cloned it from the old one. Can any one point me in the right direction of how to cure this?
