I'm trying to decide which graphics card to get. I have a Sapphire HD 7970 Dual X, however I'm disappointed with the overclocking capabilities. I can't go over 1100MHZ on the GPU clock and 1500MHz on the memory clock. Every time I go over 1100MHz, the card crashes causing the screen to go black or completely freezes my computer. I'm running the 13.3 beta drivers, so I'm at a complete loss.
Due to the frustrations I'm having with this card I'm considering going over to the green team. Right now I'm looking at four different GTX 680's. I need help deciding which is the better option.
1) GIGABYTE Super Overclock Series GeForce GTX 680 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125437
2) ASUS GeForce GTX 680 2GB - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121634
3) GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 680 4GB - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125448
4) ASUS GeForce GTX 680 4GB - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121705

Don't OC with beta drivers. That might well be causing your issues.
Do a clean uninstall and try with the official 13.1 drivers.

If you still decide you want to pick up a new card, I've had good experiences with the Gigabyte cards. If you're sticking with 1080, 2GB should be fine.
If you're going bigger or multi-monitor, the 4GB would better suit your needs.

Even at the stock settings of 950MHz and 1425Mhz settings, I still get random crashes or full system freezing when trying to play BF3. Currently downloading the official 13.1 catalyst driver to see if the beta drivers were messing me up.

Did you do a clean uninstall? This means rebooting in safe mode to ensure you get all drivers.
Uninstalling via the windows manager or Catalyst isn't enough. Driver fusion is a popular program for getting this done.

If you have done this, check your voltage and temps.

Yep. Rebooted into safe mode, did a clean uninstall of the beta drivers and restarted my computer. Installed the official 13.1 drivers and now no matter what game I try to play (BF3, AC3, Crysis 3, Bioshock Infinite) the display drivers crash, produce a yellow screen with vertical lines, or a experience full system freeze(experienced all three in each game). I'm wondering if I have a bad card I need to RMA back to Sapphire.
