Can I still plug the 3.0 MOBO header into the 2.0 case front panel? Thanks

No, they are not compatible with each other

Your mb should have some USB2 headers you cna use

This is my MOBO, but I don't see any 2.0 headers. Will I need to buy a 3.0 case panel and swap it out?

Your motherboard has 2 usb 3.0 and 2 usb 2.0 internal headers.
The front panel of your case will come with a lead to plug into one or the other.

If you need a different type of usb front port, there are 3.5 and 5.25" front bay adapters that do not cost much.

Just looking at your board on newegg I think they are the light blue pins down by the PCI slot. Between the PCI slot and the edge of the board. Not sure what the white one is, firewire?

2 x USB 3.0 + 4 x USB 2.0

I circled the USB 2 headers in red, they are the two light blue blocks

Yes, as I said. The light blue ones between the PCI slot and the edge of the board. Perhaps he didn't know what a header looked like?
