I got a Bluetooth stereo headset ( unbranded and without mic ). It effortlessly pairs with my Dell inspiron 1525 laptop through BCM2045 WIDCOMM Bluetooth adapter, iPhone 4s, HTC Inc S, HTC Wildfire S and Nokiax6. But works only with the Nokia x6. When paired with the other above mentioned devices, no audio output of any sort ( music, call, notification) on the headset. In my laptop, the settings are configured to output through the Bluetooth device but nothing happens. After researching, I found that the nokia x6 has Hands-Free Bluetooth Profile, while the other devices don’t, and assumed that my headset is trying to connect through that profile. Can someone please tell me what else could be the problem? If not, atleast, how to solve a Bluetooth profile mismatch ?
