Hello, I'm new here and I have some questions about the hardware upgrade slots for this computer. See all the specs here (570): ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/Common/inspiron-560_user%27s%20guide_en-us.pdf

I wanted to know what fits (pin-wise) in this motherboard. What I'm looking at is:

1: Processor AMD Phenom II X4 965 AM3 Black Box

2: SAPPHIRE 100283L Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

3: Black FSP Vital Series 500W ATX12V / EPS12V Computer Power Supply, 80 PLUS Certified, w/ 120mm Fan, P/N: PPA5001131

That's it. Please let me know if this will fit/work at all or if I'm making a huge mistake of some sort. I don't have a real limit of money, but I don't want it to cost too much. That's why I'm upgrading this usually not very impressive computer instead of buying a better one. My main interest is however playing Dota2 on maxed-out settings, but I have been told that game doesn't require too much to run smooth (about 30+ fps on all max).

Thank you in advance!

Motherboard is ready for power supply and GPU. CPU is problem. They have never tested that CPU.
These are tested ones. According to chipset of motherboard you may be able to run 125W version of II x4 965 BE.
But guys have put it in (had great trouble with cooling) and veriffied that II 965 125W is working, but there was no confirmation from Dell about that except they have "verified" disccusions.

Thank you for the quick response :)
Truth be told, I hadn't expected the CPU to bring any troubles. But, I'm no expert. What do you think? Get another cooler along with the package, to ensure the processor stays cool?

Thank you in advance

Well your case is a bit small. It could be good to get new cooler to go along with Phenom, but you don't need to do that until you test it. Buying new cooler it's easy. If you don't mind to keep your case open you won't need to buy anything.
So i don't think that you need to rush with that.

Thank you very much. I will just buy these items, plug them in and try to play. If the processor gets to hot I'll get a better cooler, and I'll see about playing open-cased. Thank you very much for the support!

Grrrrr.
Here is one living example of those guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please before advising do some research. Thank you.

Now to OP.

CPU choice is great. Video card is from yesterday part bin and power supply is from questionable manufacturer.
For PSU I would offer Corsair GS 600 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139045 or CX 600 (if money is tight) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139028 Corsair is not the best, but in the high middle, I have GX600 and no complains so far.
Video Card. Please review Best Graphics Cards For The Money: March 2013. Make a good decision.

CPU cooler. http://www.amazon.com/Logysis-Computer-Bearing-Cooler-MC4004IEXT/dp/B0040V5438/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1364323982&sr=8-1&keywords=IceEdge+400

And very important part. Read my Guide on upgrading Inspiron 570, feel free to ask any questions from the PRO.
Quick answer doesn't mean good answer!

?????What the??? You are PRO??? Really?? You mean that veteran or simillar title give you right to totally dispute somene else??

Read very carefully.

Question was "WILL IT FIT?"
Answer is yes.

You don't agree with that? Then you have serious problems dude.

Will it run?
YES!
Don't agree? Read couple row's above.

And now important part. Your guide does not say a THING! You like it that way. Ok. Someone else like it, OK. But that's nothing. If that's how it's supposed to be done, and only way to do then you would get DELL Verification for it so...

By the way.. don't force someone to think as you do.

Back to original post.

Someone wants that CPU, that PSU, that VGA (they work without problem together) then why you want to make them change their mind??
Have you asked or thought about it a little bit??. And you have no right to be rude to someone who has answerd question in proper way.

And by the way.. You overclocked your CPU. Of course it needs better cooling system.

Don't be rude in the future, it's not the way. And don't call yourself a PRO on forum. That's telling a lot who you really are.

Well, I some way I agree that I was rude and I appologies for that, however, my guide was made sticky on Dell forum by Dell people, this means a lot to all. If you spent time checking Inspiron 570 users, you would find out that about 15-20 people upgraded this way already, and happy. Verified by Dell in this case means nothing! Cooling is very easy now as well. A year ago your answer could be solid as rock, today it prevents users like OP from getting the best from their machines. I really hate getting in such situations as well, and I do my best chasing Inspiron 570 owners who got such negative feedback and educating them about possibilities, so far all reached users upgraded. And there are some who never responded back after similar first negative responses. This makes me really upset.
So now you know why I said what I said. And I am sorry for myself. Enough said.

Ehm, I saw on a forum that the SAPPHIRE HD 7750 1GB GDDR5 video card is recommended to play it on max, will this also be available with my processor, power supply, cooling and motherboard?
Thanks in advance

Easy answer YES. if you are getting 965 BE I would really recommend to look at my guide for cooling. you don't have to run PC with open case, this is nonsence.
