I want to have both hooked up on My HP Pavilion HPE h9-1180 Phoenix PC with a Beats Audio sound card. I am only able to have one set of speakers work properly the other ones (no matter which RCA jack I plug into) comes out muffled. Any suggestions on what I need to do or can fix is mucho appreciato. it sounds like you want to have two different sound systems hooked up at the same time.
unless you use a splitter this isnt possible on most soundcards as the different 3.5mm ports have different purposes. see the 3.5mm jack article on wikipedia.
normally there are 3 jacks for 5.1 or 4 for 7.1, one for a mic, one for headphones.
