Hi,
So I've graduated University (Hurray!) in Music and audio technology, getting straight to the point! I need a new build for a PC that's designed and based around heavily editing software packages. Mostly music editing software, but I also need it for some rendering. The occasional gaming, but only games like portal , left 4 dead 2 etc( nothing like crysis) So I tried to fill out below the little "How to ask for a new build".

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: April - June 2013
Budget Range: (e.g.: £1500)
System Usage from Most to Least Important: (e.g.: Music technology, Design software , gaming, surfing the internet, watching movies)
Are you buying a monitor: Yes ( 2 - dual screen)
Do you need to buy OS: Yes ( Thinking Win 7)
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: (Ebuyer.co.uk)
Location: City, State/Region, Country - Reading, United Kingdom)
Overclocking: Maybe
SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

So I'm just looking for a solid, long lasting build that's going to remain powerful and useful for my job for quite a long time. If there are any questions, then fire away! all the help would be greatly appreciated, thanks very much. :)

What I have so far is;

OS : Windows 7 (http://www.ebuyer.com/259863-microsoft-windows-7-home-premium-w-sp1-licence-and-media-1-gfc-02050) Will the Win 7 professional be better or..?
Hard-drive : 2TB ; http://www.ebuyer.com/390985-wd-red-2tb-3-5in-sata6-wd20efrx
RAM: http://www.ebuyer.com/169272-kingston-6gb-ddr3-1600mhz-hyperx-genesis-memory-khx1600c9d3k3-6gx ( lifetime warranty , 6GB enough?)

Processor: http://www.ebuyer.com/409184-amd-fx-8350-4ghz-socket-am3-16mb-cache-retail-boxed-processor-fd8350frhkbox
Motherboard: Not too sure what fits with what but; http://www.ebuyer.com/398365-asrock-990fx-extreme4-socket-am3-7-1-channel-audio-atx-motherboard-990fx-extreme4

Lots of suggestions and answers, thanks very much!
ARICH5 ; Thanks for the suggestion on the Xeon chip! Will add that to my important list. I'll also look more into a dedicated soundcard :)
BurritoBob; Thanks for putting together that long list, very nice of you :). A few questions on your suggestions, the graphics card, do you think it could be epic overkill? considering I'm mainly doing Music editing software (I know I said a higher budget, but I don't want to reach the budget if it doesn't give anything I really need aka overkill)
I like most of the other suggestions though, maybe look at SatRow's suggestion of a different PSU (will look into that more).

One last thing is I see in the storage section, there is a SSD, I dont quite understand SSD's, what's there benefit? (Will still dig into it myself)
