Just built my new gaming system with a SSD and HDD. OS installed on SSD and Printer installed on HDD. When I looked under Computer and the two drives, I could see the printer listed under the HDD, but yet HDD listed 966G available of 966G. Well, the next day, found out my HDD had failed, so I took it out to send it back for warranty. No probs, I'll just re-install the printer software on the SDD. Well, I didn't have to because the printer works fine, but I don't see the software listed under SDD??? What am I missing? How is the printer working when the other HDD is removed from the PC?

when you install software or drivers the core files (drivers) are installed in your windows directory and the software is installed in the directory where you specify.

for instance, if you install a game on the HDD there will be some instances on the SSD where it will appear. for instance in your registry. i would suggest an uninstall (if possible) and reinstall or a repair operation.
