Now laptop have wireless connection. I want to rdp to my desktop so that I can get working when I am in other room.

What are the options so that I can connect to my desktop from my laptop Wirelessly. Do I need to buy a router or something?

Thank you for your answer.

So I need to buy a wireless router then:
Wired internet => desktop pc => desktop lan card => wireless router => laptop

Please let me know if above flow is correct.

Internet Modem -> Routers WAN port
Routers LAN ports -> wired PCs
Wireless -> laptops or wireless desktops.

Please make sure you set a password on the router and a good WPA(minimum password[for wireless]. do NOT use WEP as it sucks)

With all this setup, both computers can use the internet at the same time and you can remote control the others on the same network(wired/wireless). While you can connect from outside, I would leave that option off unless you need it.

The router connects to the modem, then the PC and the laptop both connect to the router. Read the instructions on how to hook it up once you get it.
