I bought a aftermarket cooler for my AMD Phenom II X4 965 be, as i was trying to remove the stock fan, instead of twisting the heatsink both ways I tried to lift it up by force. My cpu came out of the socket without lifting the hatch and with bent pins. So I bought a new cpu but im worried that I might have damaged the motherboard socket. What should I do ???

You'll probably be fine. I haven't heard of anyone damaging the socket when they do that.

If you know ahead of time that you'll be removing the heatsink run the CPU under load if you can. It will make the paste warm and not as sticky.

AMD mb's don't get damaged as easy since the pins are on the cpu

I have managed to bend the processor pins straight using a thin plastic straw (or a pen insert) to apply gentle pressure. If you have purchased a new CPU and the motherboard doesn't come on again it might be down to the BIOS version. Especially if you purchased a fast newer CPU.

This video shows a good way to bend pins back into shape: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jE3iDJKt5rQ
