Returned from work, turn on my PC and after facbooking for about 20 minutes, my system shut down without any last word. I tried turning it on, it displayed the mother board info (The first thing shown while a system start) and nothing more. I removed the hard disk a tried using it in a different PC..it works..so the problem lies in either the RAM, Graphic card (Nvidia) or the mother board..please suggest me to fix this without spending any bucks..

Failed PSU's are the worst.
This I suspect the most, especially when computers just shut down out of the blue without a bsod or a slowing down. It just completely shuts down.

Things that you should check:
-Make sure your system is clean of dust, as usual, that cpu hsf is clean.
-If you want to check the memory, boot up a disk of memtest86.
-If you have one of those "mothership" gpus, make sure that is free of dust and the fans are clean.
-Make sure the motherboard looks good, check for any sata or power cords that cold have melted, and the cylinder looking caps are not bulging.

If these things fail, I suspect the PSU/motherboard.
