Well it will work with XP, but you won't have Trim enable (if I remember this right). I don't know your situation for wanting an SSD (other than faster boot times and app movement), but I would probably get a new SSD for around $70-80 on sale, if it were up to me. It all depends on what you can afford and if you want to take a chance on a refurbished SSD.
