no those should work just fine....your ram is even lower voltage then socket 1156 cpu require....which is nice for less heat. try one stick at a time to see if you can find the bad one...also check to make sure your power supply cables are firmly attached to everything..

this is assuming you have a power supply unit capable of your hard ware....what is the wattage and make?

I've had similar issues in the past, odds are it's not bad RAM. Try booting with just one stick of RAM. Also make sure whatever drive your OS is on is set to the highest priority in the BIOS so your PC boots from it. If you still suspect the RAM is bad, boot your pc into a flash drive that has been reformatted with this program on it: http://www.memtest86.com/

Thanks for the quick response... Power supply is working with all cables firmly attached (I'm on the PC right now). The current memory modules are listed below along with the power supply. I did try one stick at a time and each time I attempted to boot the PC I did not have video. After failing to boot the PC with the new memory I put the old sticks back in and it booted up fine.

Thanks for responding to my question...

I went into BIOS and limited the Ram speed to 1333... 1600 was not an option. I rebooted with new sticks installed and had the same results.

Updated BIOS to the most recent version, no luck.

Thanks for replying to my question....

OS drive is listed as first proority. I've tried one stick of ram in each of the four slots, each time I try this I get no video. When I try to boot with two sticks I get the BIOS logo for 5 seconds and then it automatically reboots. Because of this I cannot boot to a flash drive or CD to run the memtest86 program.

I'm going to try and drop these into a friend's PC to see if the sticks are bad... thanks for the suggestions!
