Ok, this is going to sound weird, but im sure it is possible, i am just not intelligent enough to figure it out. Basically I get internet on my windows 7 PC by tethering through my phone. My PS3 is on the other side of the house, and I happen to have a Belkin N300 Wireless N router. Using just those items (and wires of course, heh), can I get internet to my PS3? I cannot use wifi hotspot on my phone and I do not want to have to connect a wire all the way from my ps3 to my PC, so please do not suggest those. Also, I do understand that the connection will not be very efficient or fast, but I would like to try it anyway. I have heard of using Virtual Router, though I am not entirely sure of how to use it or how I would exactly hook up the router. Any help in this would be greatly appreciated. Also, I apologize for my ignorance, but please the simplest layman's terms possible; I do not know a lot about networking or things of that nature.

he said he CANNOT turn on wifi hotspot on his phone people...

Ok, here's what you do:
1)connect the wireless router's "modem", "internet", or "uplink" port to the ethernet port on the PC
2)set up internet sharing through Windows OS to come out the ethernet port on ur PC (not too tough, there's a wizard in internet connections for it - i think)
3)set up the wifi on the router
4)turn on wifi on the PS3 and connect to the wifi on the router
5)enjoy pwnin newbs in black ops 2

I believe PS3 already have a build-in wireless module. That 's means, you can turn on your cellphone hotspot, then connect your PS3 directly to your cellphone hotspot.

No one is telling him to use wifi hotspot on his phone. He has a wireless N router and a PS3 that can use wifi. Why not use it instead of going through the trouble?

Where's he gunna get internet access from then?

He said: "I get internet on my windows 7 PC by tethering through my phone" presumably through a USB cable.

Not what I'm saying, but it's what he is.
Yes it is, but I used to share Dial-up w/ my parents PC when we had it, just so I could get internet to my PC. Also, now w/ LTE speeds being faster than my 20Mbps Comcast Cable, I don't blame people for tethering their phones for their sole internet. That way they don't have to pay for an additional service (~$70 for that speed cable a month) and they already can have unlimited internet via cell phone...

It worked! The only thing is that on your step 2, you have to find the connection, right click it and select properties, go to the sharing tab and select that you want the internet connection to be shared. Thanks For the responses everyone, Tim's was just the one I needed though.
