Hi,

I've got a problem which is driving me insane. I have an Acer Revo which I am trying to connect to my Netgear router(Sky broadband). I have previosly connected the Revo to the router with no issues but last week was the first time in about 6 months. When I try to connect it won't, and when I troubleshoot the problem it indicates a problem with the router. It advices to turn off the router, wait at least 10 seconds and then try again. Obviously this doesn't work and I can't see why the router would be at fault as I have a tablet, phones and laptop which all connect wirelessly with no problem. Also the Revo will connect to BT Wifi and my neighbours network with no problem which indicates all is well with the Revo. I have deleted the sky network from the Revo (network and sharing center)and tried to reconnect but the same issue again.
Not really sure where else to goas I can't really see why either the router or Revoare at fault.
Any advice really really apreciated

Hi,

Please be sure that the WLAN drivers are up-to-date on your Revo. Also you may want to try a USB adapter to see if it's not the card going bad.

Also, have you tried to see if it is communicating on a congested wireless channel?

Please download InSSIDer for your laptop and it will tell you what channel your router is using as well as your neighbors.

Next you will want to configure your 2.4 Ghz as well as your 5Ghz WLAN settings to use a channel that your neighbors are not using and see if this helps.
