Hola. So I'm building my first computer, and it's meant to be a basic gaming machine. I've assembled my main components, and wanted to triple check everything is compatible. Will you guys check it out for me? Thanks!

Intel Core i5-3470 Quad-Core Processor 3.2 GHz
http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Core-i5-3470-Quad-Core-Processor/dp/B0087EVHVW/

SAMSUNG 830 Series 2.5-Inch 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive
http://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-2-5-Inch-Internal-MZ-7PC128B-WW/dp/B0077CR60Q

EVGA GeForce GTX 650
http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-1024MB-Graphics-01G-P4-2650-KR/dp/B00966IU4M

And can't decide between two motherboards:

Intel B75 SATA
http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Intel-Micro-Motherboards-GA-B75M-D3H/dp/B007R9CRGW/

OR

Intel Desktop Motherboard LGA1155 DDR3 1600 ATX
http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Desktop-Motherboard-LGA1155-DDR3/dp/B007SSH3J8/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

Edit: And what do you all think would be a good power supply to use for these components?

A basic gaming machine. For casual games, such as the Sims 3, maaaaaaybe Assassin's Creed or Skyrim.

Hi :)

For any sort of gaming machine (unless you like gaming on low) you NEED to spend at LEAST DOUBLE on a decent card...

All the best Brett :)

Ditch the SSD for now, just get a hard drive. You can always buy one at a later date (although it will require you to reinstall the OS). Then you can upgrade the GPU to a 660ti or 7870XT.

For a game such as the Sims 3 don't you think the constant loading when traveling around town and to different countries would make it worth it to purchase a ssd? Or do you think the loading is not worth it?
