New Bios Update / slow loading?

Hello,

I updated my Asus M5A88-V evo bios to the latest version. Since the update It no stalls at the check screen. Waiting to identify both hard drives. this wasn't an issue before. I keep placing my SSD as primary boot device but seems to come into second place. it take nearly a minute to pass the check screen. Is there anything I am missing?

I had a similar problem with my Asus motherboard on a bios update, after updating it would freeze at the check screen and sometimes in the bios, it needed several restarts to boot up. The fix for my problem was reverting to the original bios from an usb drive using the flash utility in the bios (EZ Flash).

Make sure you save and exit and not just exit after placing the ssd as primary in the bios, if it returns to secondary then you have a problem try downgrading the bios. On a side note . On a side note,it isn't recommended to update the bios unless you have a good reason to do so .
