Hey Guys im wondering if this is worth updating

I have a core 2 Duo 4300 @1.8 ghz
2 gb ddr 2
a Asus eah 5670 1 gb ddr 5 over clocked
And A 600 watt Psu
And a Fox conn g33m02

The system i will be getting is a
AMD FX 4100 3.6Ghz
8 gb ddr 3
MSI 760GM-P21-(FX)
Same Psu and Maybe the same graphics card

Should i get that or different ? I dont want to spend loads as this is only 150 pounds :3

get an i3 3rd generation with a compatible motherboard , the i3 is way better than the FX 4100 for gaming, i would recommend a gpu upgrade too but seeing as your on a tight budget ,the cpu is more critical in your situation

yeah the hd 7770 rips the 5670 apart in performance ,and the i3 3220 is still superior to the A10 5800K , but if you prefer AMD CPU's go with with the AMD FX-4300.

yeah get the 7770, it's a great light/moderate card. As for cpu go with the AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo). It's only like $40 more than the a10, but is the fastest AMD cpu!

He will be doing casual gaming though so i doubt he will run into multi-threaded games, single core performance on the i3-3220 is superior to the FX-8350
