I don't think you are bottlenecked so much as some games can just take advantage of a faster CPU. That's not really the same as a bottleneck. Overclocking the video card might help in some situations but with games that are more CPU dependent it will not help at all.
What you seem to be describing IS a CPU bottleneck, and really doesn't answer my question. If a game can take advantage of a faster CPU then it must be bottlenecked by the slower CPU. Right?
I'm just wondering if overclocking the GPU in a CPU bottlenecked situation will raise the minimum FPS at all. I could care less about getting 100FPS at the high end. I'm just concerned about my lower end FPS in case a CPU Bottleneck surfaces.
My GPU can hit 1200/1500 easily, and I've allready been at that speed and tested stability. In Heaven/3dMark it made a pretty big difference, but I didn't test any game benchmarks yet. I'll have to install Skyrim or FC2 and test min FPS drops myself I guess. I was just looking for a quick answer and being lazy. lol.
