Hello,

I am using a 1TB external hard-drive to watch movies on my TV. It suddenly became unreadable. I tried connecting it to my laptop via USB, still no luck.
Kindly assist.

Regards,
Sam

It could be a number of things:

1) power supply could be dead ,is there a light and is it lit.
2) have you ever dropped it, that can cause platter/head damage.
3) download the Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows
4) if drive still does not show take it to a local computer shop and have them try a data recovery find out how much first and shop around.

No errors. Just nothing!!! I connect it to my TV, it doesnt detect. I connected to my laptop, still doesnt detect. The light on the Hard Drive blinks, but the laptop / TV does not detect the device at all...
