Get a portable app and save it to a USB stick, run it from there and scan your C: drive for deleted files. Once found, recover to another drive other than C: to eliminate the possibility of overwriting your deleted data. If Recuva doesnt turn up with anything, try Restoration
that may work but when you emptry the recycle bin it doesn't work all the time....for me freuquently it has not.
It all depend if the files were there when the restoring point has been made.
that i knew....i just figure the best bet is recovery software...if its still on his drive with as i1234212 (or what ever the file is named...) instead of 3123212 the software will find the digit and replace it correctly thus restoring the lost info.
